NuliGo structured medium- and long chain triglycerides (sMLCTs) are powerful nutritional lipids that give formulators and brands a new, safe, and sustainable way to support muscle building in supplement, food, and beverage products.

Structured Medium- and Long-Chain Triglycerides (sMLCTs)

A product of interesterification whereby fatty acids of medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs) and long-chain triglycerides (LCTs) are recombined to create new structured triglycerides. Besides providing the benefits of mixtures of MCTs and LCTs, these sMLCTs showed a series of additional advantages derived from their distinct absorption and distribution within the body.

How it works

Structured MLCTs combine the characteristics of both MCTs and LCTs in the same molecule. They provide energy sources that are easy to absorb while, at the same time, supporting energy delivery to peripheral tissues, including muscle.

Structured MLCTs deliver rapid energy directly to muscles and optimize protein utilization because the available sources of energy prevent protein/amino acids from being used for energy, concentrating them in their normal functions which is becoming building blocks for protein synthesis.

Structured MLCTs improve nitrogen balance in humans. Positive nitrogen balance is necessary to create an anabolic environment, allowing the body to build new muscle and helping to recover from strenuous exercise and activity.
